To be successful in this role, the following is needed:
- Proven working experience as a Chief Accountant in a fast paced environment
- Knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting regulations and tax legislation
- Experience in financial reporting (data consolidation between core-banking and accounting systems)
- Experience working with external auditors
- Proficient in accounting software tools & Microsoft Excel
- Fluent in Lithuanian & English languages
- Experience with local and international accounting standards is a huge plus
- Experience working with external service providers such as Visa & Mastercard would be an advantage
- ACCA or other professional qualifications would be an advantage
Main responsibilities:
- Supervision of accounting team & day-to- day accounting operations
- Implementation of effective internal controls environment
- Providing general accounting support
- Month-end and year-end closing processes
- Providing support in auditing processes
- Preparation of reports and financial statements (quarterly regulatory and annual financial reporting)
