Key responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT processes to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into the data warehouse.
- Create and maintain data models, schemas, and structures within the data warehouse.
- Implement data quality checks and validation processes.
- Monitor and optimize ETL/ELT processes for efficiency and performance.
- Transform and cleanse raw data into usable formats.
- Develop and implement automation scripts and workflows.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of ETL/ELT processes, data models, and workflows.
- Ensure data security and compliance with relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and internal data policies.
- Identify and resolve issues related to data integration, data quality, and data warehouse performance.
- Plan for and implement data warehouse scalability to accommodate growing data volumes.
Requirements for you:
- Bachelor's or equivalent degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science).
- At least 3 years of experience in ETL/ELT development and data warehousing.
- Proficiency in ETL/ELT tools and technologies (e.g., Apache NiFi, Talend, Apache Spark, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory).
- Strong SQL and database design skills, including expertise in one or more relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
- Familiarity with data warehouse technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery).
- Programming/scripting skills (e.g., Python, Java) for automation and data manipulation.
- Knowledge of data modeling concepts and best practices.
- Strong analytical, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
