About the company:

Sargent Logistics, based in Chicago, IL, is an American transportation company with hubs in Chicago and terminals along the west coast. We specialize in east-to-west coast freight with our company-owned fleet.

We're opening a new office in Vilnius and hiring a Fleet Maintenance Manager. If you excel in customer engagement, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are passionate about logistics sales, join us at Sargent Logistics.

Main duties:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fleet maintenance program to ensure all vehicles are regularly serviced and maintained according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Coordinate and schedule routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs for the fleet, including preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Manage a team of mechanics and technicians, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including service history, parts inventory, and costs.
  • Monitor fleet performance metrics such as uptime, downtime, fuel efficiency, and maintenance costs, and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices in fleet maintenance.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as operations, procurement, and finance to optimize fleet operations and control costs.
  • Evaluate and recommend fleet replacement or upgrade decisions based on lifecycle analysis and cost-benefit considerations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and regulatory changes related to fleet maintenance and management.

We expect you have:

  • At least 1 year of proven experience in fleet maintenance management or a similar role, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques for a variety of vehicles (e.g., trucks, vans, cars).
  • Experience with fleet management software, maintenance tracking systems, and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, automotive technology, or related field (preferred).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and make data-driven decisions.
