We are looking for a Tax Specialist, to join our new team in Vilnius. We are currently rolling-out new global ERP program based on SAP S4/HANA and You will work closely with ERP program, IT experts, Group Tax, our businesses, local tax experts across the globe and colleagues in different GBS teams in Vilnius.

To ensure all Tax related activities are processed timely and high quality according to predefined Group Tax standards. Handle and take ownership of queries from customers in a professional ant timely manner.

We are looking for a Tax Specialist, to join our new team in Vilnius. We are currently rolling-out new global ERP program based on SAP S4/HANA and You will work closely with ERP program, IT experts, Group Tax, our businesses, local tax experts across the globe and colleagues in different GBS teams in Vilnius.
Areas of responsibility:
To ensure all Tax related activities are processed timely and high quality according to predefined Group Tax standards. Handle and take ownership of queries from customers in a professional ant timely manner.
- Supporting Metso and legal entities in day-to-day indirect tax related topics
- Provide technical VAT advice to Metso and legal entities e.g. in case of changes in business processes, tax technologies or legal tax requirements
- Ensure that indirect tax handing is done with required quality, tax handling meets local requirements and tax transactions are completely and accurately reflected in the financial reporting
- Co-ordinate and support in tax audits
- Co-ordinate and support local tax filings and VAT refund process with the service provider
- Participate in projects, design tax testing, develop testing scenarios and test cases
- Conduct testing as per the set standards and procedures
- Review and analyze testing results with project team and deployment lead
- Act as key point of contact between Vilnius GBS, local finance, Group Tax and IT
- Perform other tasks given by the manager
Basic requirements for the position
- University degree in Finance/Accounting
- 3+ years of hands on experience related to VAT or VAT compliance, preferably from a big4 audit or a multinational company
- Strong knowledge and experience in VAT (and GST) regulation and related processes in international context
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Passion for working in an international environment and an ability to work independently in a structured manner
- Fluent in English, verbal and written
