About the Role
We are looking for an AI Engineer – RAG & Search to help us build and improve production AI products.
This role goes beyond simply integrating an LLM. You will work across the full journey from a user’s query to a reliable, high-quality answer — retrieving the right information from large document collections, generating grounded responses, and providing verifiable sources.
You will work at the intersection of LLMs, RAG, information retrieval, search, and backend engineering, with a strong focus on building solutions that are accurate, fast, measurable, and ready for production.
The INFOLEX product team:
You will join a small, experienced and multidisciplinary team of software engineers, search and database specialists, legal experts, product leaders and QA. We combine deep domain knowledge, large proprietary document collections and mature search technology with modern LLM and RAG components. We work hands-on, test ideas against real user questions and turn successful experiments into reliable production features. Accuracy, verifiable sources, performance and practical user value matter more to us than impressive AI demos.

You will join a small, experienced and multidisciplinary team of software engineers, search and database specialists, legal experts, product leaders and QA. We combine deep domain knowledge, large proprietary document collections and mature search technology with modern LLM and RAG components. We work hands-on, test ideas against real user questions and turn successful experiments into reliable production features. Accuracy, verifiable sources, performance and practical user value matter more to us than impressive AI demos.
What You’ll Do:
- Build and continuously improve production RAG solutions.
- Work with embeddings, document chunking, indexing, and vector databases.
- Develop hybrid search combining Full-Text, dense and sparse retrieval, filters, and reranking.
- Integrate LLMs, AI agents, APIs, and MCP solutions.
- Build evaluation and testing frameworks for retrieval and final answer quality.
- Analyze and improve AI system performance, including accuracy, latency, and cost.
- Contribute to backend systems, APIs, and integrations.
- Experiment with new AI technologies and turn promising approaches into reliable product features.
What We’re Looking For:
- Practical experience building RAG or other production LLM solutions.
- Strong Python skills.
- Experience working with large document collections or other large-scale knowledge sources.
- Good understanding of embeddings, retrieval, search, and LLM-based systems.
- Ability to take an AI solution beyond a prototype — measure its quality, troubleshoot it, optimize it, and bring it to production.
- A pragmatic engineering mindset and an interest in solving complex problems.
- Experience with MS SQL Server, C#, ASP.NET, LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Milvus, or other search technologies would be a strong advantage.
You don’t need to know every technology on the list. We value strong engineering fundamentals, curiosity, and the ability to learn more than a specific tech stack.
