Job Description:
Build AI-powered products and automate the way Verslo žinios works.
You’ll be joining the IT team at Verslo žinios, a multidisciplinary team of 10+ developers, QA specialists, a web designer, product managers, and our CTO.
As an AI Engineer, you’ll play a key role in developing, deploying, and maintaining AI-powered tools and products across the company. Your main focus will be on AI process automation, AI-powered applications, assistants, and agents — turning real business needs into practical solutions that people use every day.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with LLMs, AI automation, Python, APIs, and modern AI technologies, and who is comfortable taking ownership from idea to production.
You’ll also be involved in the technical environment that supports our AI solutions, including deployment, infrastructure, and self-hosted AI services. You don’t need to be an infrastructure specialist, but you should be comfortable understanding and operating the systems needed to run AI solutions reliably in production.

What You’ll Do:
- Design and build AI-powered tools, automations, and solutions for both internal teams and external customers.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive processes and improve business workflows using AI.
- Maintain and further develop existing AI assistants and agents used across our products and internal operations.
- Take ownership of AI initiatives already underway and develop them further.
- Deploy and operate LLM/GenAI models in production environments.
- Build and maintain RAG-based solutions and integrations with vector databases.
- Integrate AI solutions with existing systems, APIs, and business processes.
- Evaluate new AI technologies and identify where they can provide practical value to the company.
- Ensure our AI solutions are stable, secure, reliable, and cost-efficient in day-to-day operation.
- Work with our existing on-premises and cloud AI environment, including AI models, inference services, GPU resources, and vector databases.
- Configure and maintain the services required to deploy and run AI solutions in production.
- Make pragmatic technology decisions, take ownership of implementation, and continuously improve the way we build and operate AI solutions.
What We’re Looking For (must-have):
- 2–3+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying AI/ML solutions or production software.
- Strong Python skills, including scripting, automation, API integrations, and building practical tools.
- Experience building AI agents, workflow automation, or AI-powered internal tools.
- Good understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD, Git, deployment workflows, and automation.
- Solid understanding of systems and application security, including access control, network security, minimizing exposed services, and vulnerability assessment.
- Hands-on experience working with LLM/GenAI models, using tools such as vLLM, Ollama, LM Studio, or similar solutions.
- Understanding of vector databases and RAG architectures.
- Experience taking AI/ML prototypes into reliable production systems.
- Understanding of LLM-specific security risks, including prompt injection, data leakage, model/API access control, and secure handling of sensitive data.
- Good working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
- Ability to work independently, make technical decisions, and take ownership of the results.
Nice to Have (experience with any of the following will be an advantage):
- Docker and Kubernetes.
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
- Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- GPU infrastructure administration and optimization.
- Monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
- Configuration management.
- Secrets management and secure credential storage.
Recruitment process:

Why This Role?
This isn’t a role where you’ll simply experiment with AI tools, and it isn’t primarily an infrastructure role. You’ll be building AI solutions that solve real business problems — from automating internal processes to developing AI assistants, agents, and new AI-powered features for our products.
You’ll work with modern LLMs, build integrations and RAG solutions, automate workflows, and take ideas from concept to production. You’ll also have the opportunity to work with our self-hosted AI environment and the technology needed to run these solutions reliably.
