Job description
We design, program and commission PLC, DCS and SCADA systems for biomass and waste-to-energy plants, combined heat and power (CHP) and district heating, marine vessels and industrial processes. We’re growing and seeking a talented Control System Engineer to join our team.
You will:
Depending on your experience and career goals, your responsibilities may include:
- Design, configure and program PLC and DCS control systems for power plants and marine vessels.
- Develop control strategies and test them in process simulation before they go live.
- Set up industrial communication (Modbus, Profibus, OPC and other).
- Commission and tune systems on site, through to handover.
- Analyze process data to improve plant performance, efficiency and reliability.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation through each project phase.
- Work with process, electrical and customer teams to define system requirements.
We are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Engineering, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- An understanding of automation and process control principles.
- A structured, analytical approach to problem-solving.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to project sites.
Nice to have:
- Experience in Power, Marine, or Chemical industries.
- Experience using task management tools such as Jira or Trello.
- Practical use of generative AI tools in engineering work.
Strong advantage:
- Hands-on experience with Emerson Ovation, Emerson DeltaV, Valmet DNA, Siemens PCS 7 or TIA Portal.

We also welcome students in their final year, recent graduates and junior engineers in automation, electrical, mechatronics or energy engineering. You’ll start alongside a senior engineer and go through a project lifecycle to gain hands-on experience.
Junior salary: €1300 - 2100 net per month.
