About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to take ownership of enterprise data architecture and play a key role in a large-scale data-driven transformation.
In this strategic role, you will shape how data is structured, governed, integrated, and consumed across multiple business domains. Working closely with the Chief Data Officer, you will translate the data strategy into architectural solutions, technology roadmaps, and practical implementation plans.
You will collaborate with Engineering, Master Data, Analytics, and business teams, ensuring a consistent, scalable, and future-ready data architecture across the organization.
The position is part of the central Architecture team, reporting to the Head of Architecture while working closely with the Chief Data Officer on strategic data initiatives.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Master Data, Analytics, and business teams, ensuring a consistent, scalable, and future-ready data architecture across the organization.
The position is part of the central Architecture team, reporting to the Head of Architecture while working closely with the Chief Data Officer on strategic data initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
- Own and develop enterprise data architecture across business domains, defining architecture principles, data models, integration patterns, and target-state architecture.
- Establish and govern data product architecture, including data product standards, ownership, boundaries, quality requirements, and the data product catalogue.
- Define the Data domain technology roadmap, working with Engineering teams to establish target architecture, modernization priorities, and technology transition plans.
- Design scalable cloud-based data solutions across platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure, covering data integration, streaming, ETL, serverless technologies, and analytics.
- Drive data governance, data quality, metadata management, and standardized data contracts, schemas, APIs, and data layers in collaboration with Master Data teams.
- Enable AI-ready data architecture and advanced analytics capabilities, evaluating emerging technologies and leading proof-of-concept initiatives with vendors.
- Establish architecture standards, CI/CD and deployment patterns, and data quality controls throughout the data product development lifecycle.
- Act as a strategic technology partner to the Chief Data Officer and a technical bridge between business stakeholders, Analytics, Master Data, and Engineering teams.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles and governance standards, influencing architectural decisions across teams.
What we are looking for:
- 7+ years of experience in architecture, data engineering, platform engineering, or a related technology field, including designing large-scale data platforms.
- Proven experience in enterprise data architecture and designing data platforms in complex organizational environments.
- Experience implementing or significantly contributing to data product, data mesh, or domain-oriented architecture models, including data ownership and governance.
- Strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform and its data ecosystem, such as GCP (Pub/Sub, Dataflow, BigQuery) or equivalent AWS/Azure technologies.
- Strong understanding of API design, data integration, data-serving patterns, and exposing data to internal or external consumers.
- Solid knowledge of data governance, data quality, metadata management, data contracts, and Master Data concepts.
- Experience influencing architecture decisions across multiple teams and working in complex, multi-technology environments without direct reporting authority.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate business strategy into architectural roadmaps and communicate complex technical concepts to senior stakeholders.
Nice to have:
- Experience across multiple cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Knowledge of AI/ML data architecture, advanced analytics, and AI-ready data platforms.
- Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) and enterprise data governance frameworks.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or equivalent CI/CD and deployment tools.
- Experience leading technology evaluations, vendor proof-of-concepts, and large-scale transformation initiatives.
- Relevant cloud, data, or enterprise architecture certifications.
