You are a true expert in the team when
- Maintain Postgres database infrastructure in good shape.
- Improve scalability, availability and efficiency of database infrastructure.
- Provide feedback to product teams in terms of support and co-operation to improve availability and efficiency of business applications.
- Maintain technical documentation.
- Utilize best practices whenever possible, establish and follow procedures for critical activities.
- Handle service capacity planning, software performance analysis, and system tuning.
- Maintain the healthy lifecycle status of database infrastructure components.
- Drive the company through disaster recovery tests, where we manually turn down pieces of infrastructure to test our systems overall resiliency to failures.
Our expectations for you
- You have knowledge and understanding of RDBMS concepts and architecture in general.
- You have at least 3 years of DBA experience in production environments.
- You are a creative problem solver with strong analytical thinking.
- You have proven experience in PostgreSQL database administration.
- You have experience with running databases in clustered environments like LXD.
- You can freely communicate in English (verbal and written).
- MySQL and/or MongoDB handling is an advantage.
- University degree is an advantage.
