Darbo pobūdis
Shape the next generation of smart safety products – and grow with it. Lead the hardware behind services that protect hundreds of thousands of users. Take muuun (www.muuun.com) to production at scale, and build the team, partners, and processes that will power our hardware across Europe.
Join Monitum’s Tech Team – and Help It Grow!
As our Engineering Lead for Hardware Products, based at our Vilnius office, you will own the hardware and firmware of our IoT safety products end-to-end – from schematics and prototypes to production lines and field quality. This is a rare chance to put your name on a product line at a company that is on a scaling journey. You’ll lead the launch of the muuun hub Gen 3 (and future products), guide our firmware engineers, and ensure what we design can be built reliably while scaling to the highest quality standards. As our hardware volume grows, so does your role – from shaping the technical roadmap to building the team behind it.
About Monitum
Monitum is a growing technology company building innovative IoT products and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) for safety. In 2023 we acquired muuun – the award-winning smart safety product recognised with the Red Dot 2022 and iF Design awards – and we keep expanding its ecosystem with new products and services. Our white-label platform is engineered for enterprise scale, giving leading partners such as telecom operators, credit intermediaries and insurance providers the stability to offer safety services under their own brand. With over a decade of experience in electronics, software and service development for both B2B and B2C customers, and an international team on both shores of the Baltic Sea – in Stockholm and Vilnius – our ambition is to become Europe’s leading provider of safety products and services. We build intuitive, human-centred solutions, because the best UX demands professional engineering. Join us and help take muuun to new heights!
Responsibilities & Expectations
You are a hands-on technical leader and problem solver who owns our hardware products end-to-end – from design decisions and trade-off analysis to production, certification and quality in the field.
Hardware Design & Development: Lead the design, development and launch of our hardware products (including the launch of muuun Gen 3), analysing alternative technical routes and choosing the right solutions.
Firmware Leadership: Lead and guide firmware design and development, supporting and mentoring our firmware engineers.
Production Readiness: Own the calibration, maintenance and effectiveness of our production tools (e.g. smoke test tool, test boards, molds).
Test & Manufacturing Quality: Design and upgrade test boards to ensure scale of production, monitor manufacturing quality to keep our products reliable at scale.
Product Quality & Lifecycle: Supervise RMA case analysis and the search for alternatives to end-of-life components; assess the impact of quality issues and drive long-term solutions.
Production at Scale: Build the processes, tools and quality systems that let us scale production with confidence, collaborate with EMS partners.
Technical Documentation: Create and maintain clear, up-to-date technical documentation for our hardware and firmware, and make sure the team keeps it that way.
Partners & Subcontractors: Manage and collaborate with subcontractors and freelancers, working closely with our Business Area / Business Unit Manager.
