Our client – a software development and testing company specialized in medical solutions – is currently looking to strengthen its team with a Engineering Project Manager/Team Lead.
In this position, you’ll become part of the team behind the SCB connectivity platform, which supports secure data exchange between medical devices, hospital IT infrastructure, and cloud-based services.
As a Technical Project Manager, you’ll oversee engineering execution and coordinate deliveries across several teams, ensuring dependable, high-quality outcomes within a regulated medical context.
You’ll be responsible for keeping complex technical initiatives on schedule—leading delivery efforts, aligning teams, and proactively managing dependencies and risks. This role blends team leadership, structured planning, and stakeholder coordination to drive consistent, successful project outcomes.

As a Technical Project Manager, you’ll oversee engineering execution and coordinate deliveries across several teams, ensuring dependable, high-quality outcomes within a regulated medical context.
You’ll be responsible for keeping complex technical initiatives on schedule—leading delivery efforts, aligning teams, and proactively managing dependencies and risks. This role blends team leadership, structured planning, and stakeholder coordination to drive consistent, successful project outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and align engineering teams by setting clear objectives and expectations.
- Serve as the primary contact for project topics and handle escalations when needed.
- Own planning and execution of scope, priorities, and timelines in an Agile (SAFe) setup.
- Ensure deliverables meet agreed targets for quality, performance, and schedule.
- Partner closely with QA, the Product Owner, and other internal stakeholders.
- Run design reviews and support effective collaboration across teams.
- Translate and align needs between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Maintain documentation, traceability, and adherence to internal/regulatory processes.
- Identify and implement improvements to team ways of working and delivery efficiency.
- Monitor delivery progress and report key delivery and quality KPIs.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s in Computer/Software Engineering or Computer Science (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: 8+ years in embedded software development for electronic systems (mandatory), including embedded applications on Linux.
- Core technical skills: Strong Modern C/C++, debugging/troubleshooting, object-oriented design, software architecture, and UML.
- Standards & process: Familiarity with IEC 62304; experience with Agile/Scrum and disciplined development processes (incl. configuration management/DevOps tools such as Polarion).
- Nice to have: Security (e.g., TLS, TPM), network programming, Python and JavaScript.
- Languages: Fluent English (written/spoken); German is a plus.
- Leadership & working style: Experience leading software engineers; structured engineering approach; ability to build portable/modular reusable software in medical or similar regulated embedded environments; able to communicate technical topics to internal/external stakeholders.
