About the Opportunity
The Geotechnical Engineer is responsible for providing technical engineering support for URETEK’s ground-improvement, soil stabilization, underpinning, and structural remediation projects. The role combines geotechnical assessment, engineering design, site investigation, project support, and client engagement, with a strong focus on practical, cost-effective solutions for challenging ground conditions. Geotechnical Engineer is based in Vilnius office and works on projects across Baltics.

- Assess geotechnical and structural problems including foundation settlement, ground instability, voids, weak soils, and differential movement.
- Review geotechnical reports, site investigation data, structural information, drawings, and monitoring results.
- Develop and assess ground-improvement solutions using URETEK technologies, including expanding polyurethane injection and related remediation techniques.
- Undertake engineering calculations, feasibility assessments, and technical designs.
- Prepare engineering reports, method statements, calculations, proposals, and technical documentation.
- Provide engineering input during project planning, estimating, and tendering.
- Attend project sites to investigate ground conditions, assess existing structures, and support construction activities.
- Work closely with project managers, construction teams, structural engineers, surveyors, consultants, and clients.
- Monitor project performance and evaluate treatment effectiveness using appropriate survey, instrumentation, and geotechnical data.
- Troubleshoot unexpected site or ground conditions and recommend appropriate engineering solutions.
- Ensure engineering work complies with relevant standards, legislation, health and safety requirements, and company procedures.
- Provide technical advice to clients and contribute to business development and pre-sales activities where required.
- Maintain accurate project records and contribute to continuous improvement of URETEK's engineering methodologies.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Key Competencies:
- 3+ years experience in geotechnical engineering, foundation engineering, ground improvement, construction, or structural remediation.
- Strong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation systems, settlement, bearing capacity, and ground behaviour.
- Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline; postgraduate geotechnical or foundation engineering qualifications are advantageous.
- Ability to interpret geotechnical investigation and laboratory data.
- Experience with engineering calculations and technical reporting.
- Strong site investigation and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with relevant engineering and technical software.
- Good understanding of construction practices and site safety.
- Full driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
