Role:
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Head of Accounting & Financial Reporting to lead and continuously develop the accounting and financial reporting function of an international, asset-intensive business.
This is a senior finance leadership role with responsibility for the integrity, timeliness and quality of financial information, statutory reporting, accounting policies and internal controls.
The successful candidate will combine strong technical accounting expertise with a practical business mindset. You will lead a small professional finance team, improve processes and reporting, and work closely with senior management and colleagues across finance and the wider business to support sound decision-making and sustainable growth.

Business Partnership & International Collaboration
- Lead, mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Set clear objectives, performance standards and development plans for the team.
- Establish efficient and scalable accounting processes as the business continues to grow.
- Drive automation, standardisation and continuous improvement across finance processes.
- Strengthen internal financial expertise and ensure appropriate knowledge-sharing and succession planning.
- Act as a trusted finance partner to senior management on accounting, reporting and financial matters.
Financial & Management Reporting
- Take ownership of monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing and reporting processes.
- Ensure accurate, timely and consistent financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and applicable local accounting requirements.
- Prepare and oversee management reporting, financial analysis and performance reporting for senior management.
- Develop and improve reporting tools and processes to provide greater visibility into business performance.
- Analyse key financial indicators, profitability, cost development, working capital and cash flow.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
- Translate financial information into clear business insights and actionable recommendations.
Accounting & Technical Oversight
- Oversee the company's accounting operations and ensure accurate recording of transactions and balances.
- Maintain and continuously improve accounting policies, procedures and internal guidelines.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex and non-routine transactions.
- Ensure appropriate accounting treatment for fixed assets, rental equipment, leases, investments, financing arrangements and other significant balance-sheet items.
- Monitor changes in IFRS and local accounting requirements and assess their impact on the business.
- Ensure robust balance-sheet management, reconciliations and period-end controls.
Audit, Controls & Governance
- Lead external audit processes and act as the primary finance contact for auditors.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting.
- Ensure appropriate documentation of key accounting processes and controls.
- Identify financial and operational risks and implement measures to mitigate them.
- Manage full taxation process, prepare declarations and owning the tax position and the risk behind it.
- Lead payroll and personnel accounting functions
- Lead debt control (AR/AP).
- Work closely with finance leadership and other stakeholders to maintain a strong financial governance framework.
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements and relevant deadlines.
Business Partnership & International Collaboration
- Partner with operations, commercial, procurement, HR, IT and other business functions on financial and accounting matters.
- Provide financial insight to support operational and investment decisions.
- Work closely with colleagues across different countries and entities to ensure consistent accounting and reporting practices.
- Support the development and implementation of group-wide finance processes and standards.
- Participate in finance transformation, ERP and digitalisation initiatives.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field; Master's degree is an advantage.
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent is an advantage.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience, including significant experience in a senior accounting or finance management role.
- Proven experience leading and developing a finance/accounting team.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting and statutory reporting requirements.
- Experience working with an international group structure and multiple legal entities is highly desirable.
- Experience with asset-intensive, rental, leasing, logistics, construction, manufacturing or other operational businesses would be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of fixed assets, leases, working capital and cash-flow management.
- Experience with ERP and financial systems, together with an interest in process automation and digitalisation.
- Strong experience managing external audits and maintaining effective internal controls.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to connect financial data with business performance.
- Fluent Lithuanian and English
