About us:
GO Competence Center is an international strategic competence center managing and developing a diverse business ecosystem across multiple sectors and markets. Acting as a centralized hub for strategy, decision-making and execution, the Center supports Group companies in areas including logistics, digital solutions, human resources, asset and investment management, and business development.
We are looking for a Head of Accounting to lead and further develop the accounting function across Group companies operating in different business areas and jurisdictions. A significant part of the role will involve working with cargoGO, an international logistics company operating across European markets, as well as other Group entities.
In this role, you will lead the accounting team, ensure accurate and compliant accounting across multiple legal entities, and drive greater consistency, efficiency, and digitalization across accounting processes.

In this role, you will lead the accounting team, ensure accurate and compliant accounting across multiple legal entities, and drive greater consistency, efficiency, and digitalization across accounting processes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop and motivate the accounting team, ensuring clear responsibilities, strong performance, and professional growth.
- Take overall responsibility for accurate and timely accounting across Group entities.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes and ensure reporting deadlines are met.
- Ensure preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and legislation.
- Ensure compliance with Lithuanian tax, accounting and reporting requirements.
- Oversee VAT, corporate income tax, and other relevant tax reporting and compliance.
- Coordinate external audits and act as the main contact for auditors, tax authorities, and other relevant institutions.
- Ensure consistent accounting principles and processes across legal entities.
- Drive simplification, standardization, digitalization and automation of accounting processes.
- Support business growth, new entity setups, integrations, and other organizational changes from an accounting perspective.

Sounds interesting? Here’s what we’re looking for:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
- Strong professional experience in accounting, including several years in a Head of Accounting, Accounting Manager, Lead Accountant or senior Chief Accountant leadership role.
- Proven experience leading and developing a team, with strong leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong interest in technology, digital tools and AI, with a proactive approach to exploring and applying new solutions in accounting and finance processes.
- Strong knowledge of Lithuanian accounting and tax legislation.
- Experience preparing financial statements and coordinating external audits.
- Ability to manage priorities and work effectively in a fast-moving environment.
- Fluent Lithuanian and strong professional English, both written and spoken.
- Strong Excel skills; experience with NAV, SAP or similar ERP systems would be an advantage.
