We are looking forward to welcome a new Noewe Accounting team member - Senior Accountant to work from our office in Vilnius!
As a Senior Accountant you will combine strong accounting expertise with an interest in technology and AI. With experience in accounting, financial analysis or audit, you understand how accounting processes work across businesses.

WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT
- You review rather than key in. AI agents and automation handle routine tasks. You review, validate, correct their output.
- You see the big picture. Multiple clients and the full accounting cycle – from transactions to financial statements, tax returns and management reporting.
- You turn numbers into insights and relationships. Identify financial trends, risks and opportunities, discuss results with clients and build trusted client relationships.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and approve client accounting prepared by AI agents and automated workflows in line with Lithuanian Business Accounting Standards (VAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Own month-end and year-end closing: resolve exceptions and finalize financial statements.
- Oversee tax and statutory reporting: review and sign off submissions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Turn numbers into insight: prepare management reports and discuss financial results with clients.
- Establish and maintain internal accounting controls, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Contribute to the roll-out of new accounting technologies, including our new ERP system and automation/AI solutions.
- Collaborate with leaders and partners across service lines to deliver integrated client solutions.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH
- A university degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in audit, accounting or financial control.
- Strong knowledge of VAS and Lithuanian tax law (VMI, “Sodra”, VAT, personal income tax, corporate income tax).
- Hands-on experience independently preparing statutory reports and tax declarations.
- Analytical thinking and the ability to build processes independently.
- Excellent written and spoken Lithuanian and English.
- Experience working with accounting or ERP systems.
ADVANTAGE IF YOU HAVE
- ACCA, CFA, or another professional certification.
- Experience implementing ERP systems or involvement in similar projects.
- Experience working across multiple jurisdictions or within international corporate groups.
