Senior Data Analyst

We’re building a new digital bank from scratch, and strong data capabilities are at the heart of every good decision we make.

As we grow our data team, we’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst who will own the numbers for a business domain, turn complex questions into clear decisions, and help raise the bar for analytics across the bank. You’ll work with Power BI, SQL, dbt and a modern cloud data platform, and you’ll be someone others turn to for both answers and advice. This is a chance to shape how a new bank measures and makes decisions from day one.

Every day, you’ll be #closer and:

• Partner with business teams and senior stakeholders, finding the real question behind a request, answering it and leading with a recommendation, then following up on whether the decision was made and what happened next.
• Own the numbers for the areas you support. Know what “normal” looks like well enough to spot a wrong figure before anyone else does, and be the go-to person when the numbers are questioned.
• Define and document key metrics, and work with data engineers to keep data accurate, consistent and available, so each metric has a single definition used the same way in every dashboard, report and AI-assisted answer.
• Lead complex analyses end to end, from framing the problem to presenting clear, actionable findings to people who don’t think in SQL.
• Measure the business impact of experiments, campaigns and models together with our data scientists, so we know what actually worked.
• Use AI tools and self-serve to scale analytics, moving routine questions off your desk so your time goes to work that needs judgment.
• Raise the bar for the team by mentoring other analysts, reviewing their work, and shaping our analytics standards and best practices.

To be #closer, you’ll need:

• Solid professional experience (typically 4+ years) as a data analyst, BI analyst or in a similar role, with a track record of work that shaped real business decisions.
• Expert SQL and experience working with large, complex datasets, plus the instinct to sanity-check a result before you trust it.
• Strong experience turning data into insight: building and owning dashboards in Power BI or a similar tool, and using practical statistics to read trends, compare groups and tell a real change from noise.
• Experience with dbt or similar tools for data modelling, testing and documentation, and a good understanding of data quality practices.
• Clear communication in fluent English: short write-ups that lead with the answer, and confidence presenting to and challenging senior stakeholders.
• Curiosity about how the business works, and ownership: you care whether your numbers are right and whether anyone acted on them.

Nice to have:

• Python for analysis (pandas or similar).
• Experience with A/B testing or causal methods for measuring the impact of a campaign, product change or policy.
• Experience with a semantic layer, Git and code review, or a modern cloud data platform such as Databricks or Azure.
• Experience in banking, fintech or another regulated industry.
