We at DANX BALTICS are looking for a Specialist in Logistics and Transportation!

DANX Baltics is an international logistics group that has been operating in Baltic countries for over ten years. Internationally, DANX employs more than one thousand employees in eleven different countries. In Baltics, DANX has just over 10 employees and in Estonia and Lithuania: In Tallinn and Vilnius.

Internally, the role is known as Control Tower Agent, since you oversee our whole operations. You are responsible for all transport vehicles/routes, packages/shipments, and deviations in evening and night distribution. The Control Tower is the most important function between us, our customers, and our drivers. This is therefore truly a front-row position both in the industry and within the company.
Control Tower Agent is part of our operations department. Role is new in Baltics organization and will be located onsite in our Vilnius office. Planned workings hours are from Monday to Friday, 15:00-00:00, depending on business needs and mutual agreement.

Main duties and responsibilities of this position are:

• Reconciliation of routes together with other functions and coordinating routes before distribution.
  
• Manage delays and other disruptions in traffic, and arrange extra transport when needed.
  
• Responsibility of FSL and coming and leaving goods from warehouse.
  
• Administrative tasks in both internal and external transport systems, such as: Setting up new customers, Creating new routes, PDA scanner management, and other related IT tasks.
  
• Support with damage claims and damage prevention, ensuring all damages are scanned and marked with PDA.
  
• KPI reporting and scanning quality follow-up.
  
• Participating in traffic diversions and implementation of new customers.
  

The right person for the position is someone who´s:

• A good communicator: clear communication, both written and verbal, is the most important part of the Control Tower Agent’s work when being in contact with different parties by phone and email.
  
• Able to work under pressure: stay calm, determined, and organized even in stressful and busy situations and know how to prioritize the most important tasks.
  
• Responsible: takes care of assigned and incoming tasks carefully to completion and takes responsibility for their own work and decisions.
  
• Solution-oriented: able to make independent decisions in a fast-paced environment while following given guidelines.
  
• Self-initiated: independently takes on assigned tasks and those that arise during the workday.

Language requirement:
Lithuanian - native/fluent written and spoken
Russian – fluent written and spoken
English - fluent written and spoken
Polish, Estonian, Latvian and/or German - desired

IT:
System experience of working with different programs.

Geographical knowledge:
Baltics and central Europe. Understanding geographical data, to be able to evaluate and present it as evidence.

Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.

Education in logistics and transportation:
Desired, helps you deep-dive into your new role faster, but isn´t an essential qualification for the role: your mindset is what takes you further.

Experience of working with clients and/or drivers.

Willingness to work also outside of regular working hours.
Since our business runs 24/7, sometimes we are required to work outside of our normal working hours.

2600-2900 €/mon. gross
Based on your prior experience and knowledge.
